A Personal Note from Dana

Hello,

A smart business strategy is to recycle previous articles, so for the first time with my ezines I am using my Vision Board ezine from 2010 because the information is current and applicable. I did two vision boards last year as I really wanted to focus on manifesting some goals I had about starting my coaching business with women entrepreneurs.

Since home stagers are visual, creating a Vision Board that you can look at on a daily basis seems a natural creation. I believe you can manifest what you want by thinking about what you want and creating it. Many people like to write out their thoughts (dreams with action become goals) and many like to put their vision onto a vision board, in a vision bag or even into a vision box. I use both a Vision Bag and a Vision Board which I keep in my Self-Cultivation & Knowledge feng shui bagua corner.

MY VISION BOARD FROM 2010

Wishing you all much JOY & SUCCESS in creating your 2011 Vision Board.

PS: Everything on my 2010 Vision Board did materialize with the exception of my not being on Oprah. And you know what, I didn't really put a lot of faith in that happening because it wasn't what I really wanted! This year I want to be on the Fanny Kiefer show and I will be!

Reasons For Creating A Vision Board

Your VISION BOARD is a visual representation of what you are focused on right now and what your dreams & goals are. It should inspire and empower you to find ways to achieve what you really want. By looking at it every day you move one step closer to creating your world the way you want it. You can recreate your Vision Board at any time that you want throughout the year and it can be about what you want for the coming year, or sometime in the future. I like to do it to kick off each new year. I take my old vision board and look at what I have accomplished and quite frankly it is AMAZING!!!

How to Create Your Vision Board Using a Western Feng Shui Bagua:

For years I have used a Western Feng Shui Bagua as the base for my Vision Board since I have taken courses in Feng Shui. Interestingly enough many people end up creating their vision board 'as if' they had used the bagua when in fact, they had not!

This is what you need to do:

  1. Determine what size and what material your vision board is going to be made of.
  2. Decide where you want to display it. You want to put it out where you can see it and not hide it away so this may help determine step 1.
  3. Cut out anything that you would like to feature on your vision board i.e. pictures from magazines, websites, quotes you love, pieces of jewellery, titles of books, post cards, stickers, anything you like that represents something you want to manifest in your life.
  4. You don't have to use the Feng Shui Bagua but if you choose to, then divide your vision board into 9 equal sections and look at the headings for each one: Wealth, Fortune & Blessings; Fame & Reputation; Love, Marriage & Partnership; Family; Health; Creativity & Children; Self-Cultivation & Knowledge; Career and Helpers, Travel & Benefactors.
  5. Attach your cuttings and/or things onto your vision board in these 9 sections as much as is possible. Some things may overlap and may not seem to fit - just place them where they feel right to you.
  6. For future you might want to keep a vision bag near you. When you find something just drop it in the bag. It's fun to go through it every so often to see if that is still my focus.
  7. At the end of each time period that you have created your vision board for, look at it and see what dreams & goals have actualized for you. It is truly amazing!!!

Raving Fans - Training Home Client Testimonials

Our home now looks amazing after the ‘Staging Magic’ was done. Our home had been on the market for over a year and having our home staged has breathed new life into it. There is more interest in our home now and it looks absolutely fabulous. The staging inventory Lois North of Lois Interiors brought in has made such an amazing difference!

I’m proud and excited to have the realtor show our 'renewed' home to prospective buyers.

What a pleasure it was to meet the students and their instructor, how professional they were and how much I enjoyed their enthusiasm at the reveal.

UPDATE: This home SOLD after the staging!

Your Action Assignment

Start collecting photos, articles, cards, pictures, sayings, anything that you want to put on your 2011 Vision Board. Follow the steps above and find some quiet time to put your Vision Board together. It's also sometimes fun to do with a group of friends maybe over a glass of wine and a few shared stories of what you accomplished in 2010. PRES members will be doing this at their January Monthly Meetings!

Now most importantly, DREAM BIG and STEP UP to 2011. After all your dreams and your goals create your life. What do you want it to look like?
